The town of El Golfo is a great place to watch the sunset while dining on fresh fish at a beachside cafe. Olivina is found in the mountains, but I wouldn't expect to see anything of any size after they have been combed over by the thousands of tourists before you. However, if you look in some of the lava rocks, you will see some small veins of the semi precious stone. The deep green lagoon is a volcanic crater filled by the sea from an underground channel, and is a stunning contrast to the black sand beach, the red mountains, and the blue sky.
