Playa Chica is a very small beach right in the heart of Old Town Puerto del Carmen.  It is mostly used by locals and the various scuba diving schools, but it is a really cool little place.  A bit rocky, but well protected by some interesting rock formations.  One of our favourite places.  There is a great little restaurant on the nearby pier, where you can get cheap beer, coffee, and the most amazing view of a sunset over the mountains. Playa Chica is just west of the Hotel Farionnes.  From the centre of Old Town Puerto del Carmen take Calle Bajamar (the continuation of Reina Sofia) to the waterfront.  Turn left, and follow the dirt path to the beach.
